A closer look at the cookies and local storage FragTrack uses, separate from our general Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits — things like whether you're signed in, or basic preferences. Some of what we describe here technically uses your browser's local storage rather than a traditional cookie, but it serves the same purpose, so we're covering both together.
2. The categories we use
Strictly necessary
These keep the site and dashboard functioning — for example, the session token that keeps you signed in after you log in. Without these, core features like your dashboard simply wouldn't work. They can't be turned off through a settings toggle, but you can clear them anytime by clearing your browser's site data (which will sign you out).
Analytics
We use basic, aggregate analytics to understand which pages get visited and how the site performs, so we can fix what's broken and prioritize what actually gets used. This data is not used to build an advertising profile of you individually.
Advertising
As FragTrack grows, this site may display advertising served through third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Where that's the case, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies to serve ads that are more relevant to you, based on your visits to this and other sites across the web. We don't control what these third-party cookies do beyond what's disclosed in Google's own policies.
3. Specific cookies & storage you may encounter
- Session token — strictly necessary, keeps you logged in, stored in local storage, cleared when you sign out or clear browser data.
- Preference settings — strictly necessary/functional, remembers small UI preferences like whether you've dismissed a banner.
- Analytics identifiers — analytics, aggregate/anonymized traffic measurement.
- Ad network cookies (e.g. Google-served ads) — advertising, set by third parties where ads are displayed, subject to Google's own cookie policy.
4. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings — the exact steps vary by browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all handle this slightly differently, usually under Privacy or Site Settings). Blocking strictly necessary cookies will likely break the ability to stay signed in to your FragTrack account.
For ad-related cookies specifically, you can review and adjust how Google personalizes ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, or opt out of personalized advertising more broadly through the Digital Advertising Alliance's tools, where available in your region.
5. Changes to this policy
If the cookies we use change meaningfully — for example, when we introduce advertising — we'll update this page and the date at the top.
